Titus Bramble som fenomen

Fotballintern post her: Titus Bramble er en mann som har forårsaket mye ergrelse for Newcastle-supportere, men hans tabber og ofte hjelpeløse opptreden ser ut til å være av såpass kronisk art at navnet hans har blitt et generelt begrep (det finnes endatil egne Titus Bramble-vitser!) Som i BBCs live-referat fra kveldens kamper i Mesterligaen, hvor Inters forsvarsspiller sammenlignes med Titus Bramble:

2010: Nelson Rivas commits himself far too early, allowing Ryan Giggs to run through on goal.

2019: "Re 2010: Nelson Rivas is Serie A's answer to Titus Bramble."

2036: "Inter are appalling. Wouldn't want to be in the dressing room with the special one. On the other hand seeing Nelson Rivas playing has given every Sunday league player hopes of playing for Inter. He doesn't even know which side to mark."

2047: Bad news for fans of slightly hapless defending, Nelson Rivas will take no further part for Inter Milan. He is replaced by Ivan Cordoba. "That must be an injury," says our 5 Live commentator. "No, I think it's because he's had an absolute nightmare," replies Chris Waddle.
